This year's theme of Use Medicine Wisely is aimed at educating the public regarding the importance of using medicine correctly to achieve quality education healthcare results. There are five sub-sectors that compliement the main theme 1) Know your medicine 2) Store your medication correctly 3) Travel safely with your medicines 4) Talk to your pharamcist

 

PEPSA has dedicated this month to informing the community about the safe use of medicines.

Below is a summary of what will take place in the fewnext weeks.

05 September 2018: Gqebhera (Walmer) Clinic Visit

  • We will be going to the clinic to talk to patients about the safe use of medicines and how to store it properly
  • This is open to everyone. Please meet Miss Nandipha Klaas in the foyer of 12-02-88 and please wear your dispensing jackets for this outing
  • If you are interested in attending please e-mail Grace (s213444488@mandela.ac.za)
  • Transport will leave at 10:30am so ensure that you are punctual

12 and 19 September 2018 : Lunch time talk from Community,Hospital, Wholesale and Industrial Pharmacy Personnel.

  • Pharmacy personnel from these sectors will be informing us about how to use medicines wisely in their respective sectors
