Overview of Pharmacy Practice Research

In the pharmacy practice stream, we have research areas of interest covering many different sectors of pharmacy, including (but not exclusive to) the following:  
 
  • Healthcare:  Public and private healthcare, Primary Healthcare, Global healthcare, health systems reform, Interprofessional health care teams. 
  • Ethics and Legislation:   Scope of practice, advocacy, policy analysis, SAPC guidelines of services for which a pharmacist can levy fees. 
  • Pharmacy professional cadres:  Pharmacist, Pharmacy Support Personnel, Management. 
  • Role of pharmacist:  Geriatrics, Advanced wound care, Complimentary Alternative Medicine(CAM)  
  • Medicine supply management:  Stock control, supply chain, cold chain and logistics 
  • Pharmacy education:  Blended learning in health sciences
