
Dr Teri-Lynne Fogarty is a lecturer and researcher in the Department of Pharmacy at Nelson Mandela University. She has worked in academia for more than 15 years. While supervising a broad range of topics utilising various methodologies, her primary research areas of interest are pharmacy education and the practice of pharmacy support personnel. Her PhD study entitled, Pharmacy Support Personnel Qualifications and Scope of Practice needs: the South African Experience was a mixed methods study and giving her further experience in both qualitative and quantitative research.
Teri-Lynne has authored several journal articles and co-authored two textbooks for pharmacy support personnel. She has successfully graduated six masters students and is currently supervising a further five masters and two PhD students. Teri-Lynne is a reviewer for various journals and is a lead in international projects with the International Pharmaceutical Federation.
Teri-Lynne is a consultant for the South African Pharmacy Council working on various task teams as an examiner, moderator, and evaluator of courses. Her teaching areas include pharmacy law and ethics, pharmacy practice, and clinical pharmacy
