I obtained a BPharm degree (cum laude) in 2005 and went on to complete my MSc degree (cum laude) in 2009 from the Nelson Mandela University. In 2015, whilst employed as a lecturer in pharmacology at the Nelson Mandela University, I enrolled for a PhD in Pharmacy Education and graduated from this institution in 2018. I am currently the head of the clinical pharmacy stream and a senior lecturer in pharmacology at the Nelson Mandela University.

I have supervised multiple research projects in various subject areas, including: pharmacovigilance; clinical pharmacy; pharmacy education; pharmacy practice; and chemistry. Although I do enjoy the spontaneity of delving into a diversity of research topics, I have a keen interest in pursuing research on the clinical pharmacy platform. My current research focus areas are in the fields of rational medicine use, antimicrobial resistance and antimicrobial stewardship.
