My love for research formally began with my fourth year elective project which entailed researching the medicinal plant Leonotis leonorus. My masters study which was based full time at one of the pharmaceutical manufacturers cemented my area of research which is pharmaceutical manufacturing, specifically formulation, which emphasis on African Traditional Medicines, and more recently indigenous foods. I had the fortune of completing a PhD in a study that combined all these topics whilst also training me on in vitro cell viability and toxicity techniques. I have worked in the pharmaceutical regulatory affairs field for the South African medicines regulator and for Applicants. I have successfully supervised a number of Masters and PhD students.
